The Campus Center provides alcohol-free entertainment, such as movies,
bands, dances,
comedians, and a computer gaming lab. Movies are free to undergraduate
residence hall students and are $2.00 for students not living on
campus and non-students. East Lansing Film Society (ELFS) movies
are $3.00 for students and $5.00 for non-students.
CANOEING
AND FEEDING THE DUCKS
The Red Cedar River, which flows through the center of campus is a focal point for certain student activities, such as feeding the ducks, canoeing, or just relaxing. IM-West
Provides
courts for all racquet sports. It also has rooms for archery, judo,
wrestling, and weightlifting. It has an indoor pool and an Olympic
size outdoor pool, along with four gymnasiums. It’s located
next to the stadium on Red Cedar Road.
IM-Circle
This building includes two gymnasiums and two indoor swimming pools,
along with a sauna, steam and weight rooms. It’s located across
from the Music Building on West Circle Drive.
IM-East
It features four basketball courts, a four lane indoor track, 8
paddleball courts, 2 squash courts, and a weight room. It’s
located across from McDonel Hall on East Shaw Lane.
ABRAMS
PLANETARIUM

Houses an exhibit hall with book and gift center, blacklight gallery
of astronomical art, and a 252 seat hemispherical domed sky theater.
Hours: Open to the public Monday through Friday
8:30 am to noon, 1:00 pm to 4:30pm. Public Shows in the theater
are Friday at 8:00 pm, Saturday at 8:00 pm, Sunday at 4pm
Location: The planetarium is located at the corner
of Shaw and Farm Lanes across from the Shaw Residence Hall. Visitor
parking is located on Shaw Lane.
Admission: Shows are $3.00 for adults, $2.50 for
students and senior citizens, and $2.00 for children under twelve
years of age.

MUSEUM

Founded in 1857, the MSU Museum is one of the oldest museums in
the Midwest. It houses 2.5 million objects and specimens of cultural
and natural history from around the world.
Hours: Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Location: West Circle Drive, east of Beaumont Tower
just north of the Main Library. Parking is located in front of the
museum. The cost for a two hour permit is $1.00 available from the
museum.
Admission: FREE, but there is a suggested donation
of $4.00 for adults.

Kresge offers approximately ten changing shows and numerous permanent
collections.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 10am-5pm, Thursday

at the corner of Auditorium and Physics Roads. Parking is available
at metered spots or in designated employee spots with a Visitor
Pass ($5.00) from any residence hall.

packages also available. Lockers are available for equipment storage.

The University Activities Board (UAB) is MSU's premiere student
programming group and is responsible for the majority of entertainment
that is brought to campus. Most of our programs are FREE for MSU
students, faculty & staff with a valid MSU ID. The student run
board was created when the Union Activities Board and the Campus
